Two Mommies

Ariel is working on the concept of plurals. She is putting "s" after words (think "two mens") and referring to anything greater than one as "two."

Lately she has been saying, "Daddy, Mommy! Two Mommies!" We've been trying to tell her that she does not have two mommies, but the accusation continues.

I hope this doesn't last too long...

I noticed that at Taco Bell with her the other day there were "two chairs" and "two lights" and "two mans"... I just kept saying, "lots of chairs" and "lots of lights" but it didn't seem to help!
Well, I hope Ariel and her "two mommies" and sister have a lovely Christmas Eve!

Ha! This must be a language phase common to toddlers. Yesterday morning Maya surveyed the three-dozen or so cardboard blocks beneath the tree (which I had spent the previous week putting together) and announced, "Two blocks!"
Uh, right, Maya. Two...times eighteen!
